Niki J Sands will be the featured artist of the month at City Blend Coffee located at 10720 Eastern Ave. Just south of Horizon Ridge in the Sun West Crossing Plaza. The exhibit starts October 28th through the end of November. All work is original and is available for purchase.
At City Blend Coffee, they want to emphasize their relationship with the community not only by bringing you great beverages and food, but also through community interests.
Each month they will present artwork by a local artist. The artwork selected will be interesting, sometimes complex, and at other times thought provoking. Other art on display will be one-of-kind magnum-sized wine boxes produced by local and out-of-state artists. All art presented is for sale.
They will also present a variety of interesting events for the community’s benefit and enjoyment. Because we want to share good local entertainment with our patrons, they are always open and flexible to any event ideas and concepts.

Festival of the Arts is having their 2nd bi-annual artists exhibit Saturday May 5, 2007 from 10am-6pm and Sunday, May 6, 2007 10am - 5pm. "The District" at Green Valley Ranch.

Spring Fling - The Green at 'The District' expansion is home to the all new Spring Fling. The entire family can enjoy the festivities with art projects for the kids and live entertainment.
It's a Dog's Life - The Green at 'The District' expansion will showcase 15 custsom dog houses, created by some of the best home builders in the Las Vegas Valley. Experience these unique custom homes for your pet, then bid on them as they are auctioned on Sunday evening, following the art festival. Proceeds to benefit a local charitable organization. Edward and Edward Contemporary Art Gallery - a grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, March 31, 2007 premiering four fine artists of Las Vegas which include Edward Sobanski, Carlos De Las Heras, Niki J Sands and Raphael Espinoza Luera.

Niki J Sands will be participating in the Contemporary Arts Collective 18th Annual juried show. The CAC will award $1,000.00 to the Best of Show, with other prizes to be announced. All media is eligible and anyone over 18 years of age may submit up to 2 works of art. The CAC in cooperation with LaPour Grand Central will present the French tradition of an alternative exhibit (a "Salon de Refuse") on site at the Holsum Bread Building in gallery #135, which will show work that is not selected by the juror. The 2000 sq. foot loft will host the Salon de Refuse. There will be artists, music and entertainment on Friday March 2nd (First Friday), "Ultra Lounge Refuse" style.
The Juror, Sara Kellner is a leading advocate for artists and experimental contemporary art practices. Ms Kellner was the Director of Houston's alternative arts center, DIVERSE WORKS from 1999 until 2006 and was a curator for alternative visual arts at HALLWALLS in Buffalo, NY. Her new career as an independent art consultant will now be taking her 15 years of non-profit arts experience to a new level.
The CAC as been a mainstay artists organization in Las Vegas for over 17 years and has moved from the Arts Factory a few blocks west to join other galleries in the historic Holsum Bread Building art complex located at 231 W. Charleston Blvd., Suite 110 which is the Gateway to the Arts District in downtown Las Vegas.
