News and Announcements

(posted on 27 Apr 2020)

Greetings, friends and family!

I hope this letter finds everyone healthy and in good spirits.  Social distancing, closed businesses and lockdown is how we are living and life as we once knew it has been taken away.  Usually this time of the year I am at festivals and enjoying the outdoors, wonderful artists and striking up conversations with patrons of the arts.  I think the hardest part of this pandemic is not being able to hug your friends and family.  I am a hugger, so I am sending you all a virtual hug and hope you all stay safe.

I was able to hook up with a company and offer you these cool face masks.  So if  you want to be a little artsy out in public I am offering these  Face Masks with my art.  They are $20 each and include shipping.  They are taking about 2 weeks to fabricate and deliver.  If you are interested in purchasing these masks please text me at 702.499.3984 or email info@nikijsands.com.

Thank you all!  May you all stay healthy in mind and body, we shall overcome this together.  XO. Niki

These are cloth face masks made from 100% polyester.    Each mask includes two woven, elastic loops for a one-site-fits-all fit.

IMPORTANT - These are not surgical grade masks, and they are not intended for any medical or commercial uses, whatsoever.   Our cloth masks are designed for everyday use to cover your nose and mouth when out in public.   We make no warranties that the masks prevent infections or the transmission of viruses or diseases.

In times like this we need to reach out to one another and show kindness, empathy and reassurance.  I hope that everyone and their families are getting through this pandemic. This has affected so many people across the globe both health wise (mind and body) and financially.

May you all stay healthy in both mind and body.

May Love and kindness spread throughout the world.

May the world recover financially.

Last may Mother Earth heal.........

I appreciate each and everyone and Thank you for all your support.

I hope my art brings a smile to your face and comfort to your heart.

Once again Downtown Summerlin will be hosting the Summerlin Festival of Arts on October 12-13th.  This is an annual event brought to you by the Howard Hughs Corporation/Summerlin.

There will be fine art, music and lots of activities for the kids.  This is a great opportunity to buy beautiful fine art from artists across the country.

Please stop by booth #55 to say hello!

Wine and art go together like hand and glove.  Please join us for an evening of art and wine at Las Vegas's only winery.  I have the privilege to exhibit my art in their beautiful tasting room.  There is much to learn about wine and you can enjoy my beautiful art while enjoying in the libation.

Spring Forward with a Smile!

Well, I just celebrated my birthday and I am starting my 60th year around the sun and I couldn't be happier.  When people ask me "how long does it take to paint that?"  I like to say it's taken me all my life to create that piece.  It takes years of practice, thought, mistakes, love and dedication.

I just completed this piece, I hope you enjoy!

Happy New Year to you all and I thank you all for your support and encouragement.

It's going to be 2019 in a few days and I wish you all a new year of good health and happiness.

A new beginning is starting for me in Abstracts.  I will still continue to do my figurative cubist-surreal work along with several different series of Abstracts.

You must always challenge yourself in life, it keeps you strong mentally and physically.

Welcome Fall: Cool weather, pumpkins, Halloween and my favorite Holiday Thanksgiving.  I give thanks to all the people that support my art and the arts in general.  Without vision and creativity we would be a very sad world stuck in the dark ages.  I hope you enjoy my new series of Abstractions of Expressionism.  They are something I have been wanting to do for a long time and finally I faced this new challenge to create art that is Free of structure but has a unique voice.  I will be presenting these new pieces this weekend at the Summerlin Festival of Arts located in Downtown Summerlin, Las Vegas NV  Booth #55
