I hope this email finds everyone healthy and in good spirits.  I hope you find some humor in this piece.  It is my figurative work using Cold wax, Oil, oil stick and collage.

The year 2020 has thrown us all off the tracks. I was thinking about people in the dating scene, how would one successfully find that eternal mate during a pandemic? Well, as they say nature has a way and I am sure what ever love is blooming in 2020 will last a lifetime. Oil, cold wax medium, oil stick, collage on 24wx36h canvas presented in a black float frame.

Cheers to Dating!

Greetings to you all and I hope this announcement finds you healthy and happy during these most difficult times.

The year 2020 has been such a challenge on so many levels.  But as the saying goes, "When things get tough, the tough get going".   So on that note I decided to challenge myself and experiment with a new medium.  It is a cold wax medium that I use with mixed media.  It allows me to apply layers and create these beautiful abstracts.  I am also including figurative work into this process.  I hope you enjoy and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out.

Stay safe, healthy and happy!

Greetings!

I hope everyone is healthy in mind, body and soul.  Social distancing and being isolated from loved ones has been most difficult.  I started this painting at the very beginning of this pandemic.  I had the canvas stretched 6 ft by 6 ft and delivered to my studio way before I even heard of the Covid19 or Corona Virus and definitely had family in mind and being together, sharing in love, food and drink to be painted on this massive canvas.

I have finished this piece and I can only hope and pray this will be us, as a community, as a state, as country and as a World  very soon, sharing in drink, friendship, food and most of all Love and Happiness.  There are many symbols throughout this painting....Music, people, nature, particularly the bees and hive which represent community and the way we should work together just as the bees do.  I have food and drink that we share and the white dove to symbolize peace.

I wish everyone only the best of health both in body and mind.  We shall overcome this and be stronger together.  I hope you enjoy this painting and thank you all for your continuous support.  I appreciate any and all feedback.

         Stay happy and healthy.

Greetings, friends and family!

I hope this letter finds everyone healthy and in good spirits.  Social distancing, closed businesses and lockdown is how we are living and life as we once knew it has been taken away.  Usually this time of the year I am at festivals and enjoying the outdoors, wonderful artists and striking up conversations with patrons of the arts.  I think the hardest part of this pandemic is not being able to hug your friends and family.  I am a hugger, so I am sending you all a virtual hug and hope you all stay safe.

I was able to hook up with a company and offer you these cool face masks.  So if  you want to be a little artsy out in public I am offering these  Face Masks with my art.  They are $20 each and include shipping.  They are taking about 2 weeks to fabricate and deliver.  If you are interested in purchasing these masks please text me at 702.499.3984 or email info@nikijsands.com.

Thank you all!  May you all stay healthy in mind and body, we shall overcome this together.  XO. Niki

In times like this we need to reach out to one another and show kindness, empathy and reassurance.  I hope that everyone and their families are getting through this pandemic. This has affected so many people across the globe both health wise (mind and body) and financially.

May you all stay healthy in both mind and body.

May Love and kindness spread throughout the world.

May the world recover financially.

Last may Mother Earth heal.........

I appreciate each and everyone and Thank you for all your support.

I hope my art brings a smile to your face and comfort to your heart.

Spring Forward with a Smile!

Well, I just celebrated my birthday and I am starting my 60th year around the sun and I couldn't be happier.  When people ask me "how long does it take to paint that?"  I like to say it's taken me all my life to create that piece.  It takes years of practice, thought, mistakes, love and dedication.

I just completed this piece, I hope you enjoy!
